The 2 wire TAT is a simpler unit than the 3 wire AT headset. The in-line PTT has been eliminated so the wire runs directly from the mic to the radio accessory connector. Like the ATs, the TATs are used by security personnel at airports, casinos, and construction sites. They are used routinely by those working conventions and concerts or anytime discrete but clear communication is required.
